Our company has been established in 1979 as IMUAS (Enterprise for Machine-Tools, Accessories and Tools). For our foreign partners, the company was already known as RAMIRA.

In the early 90's, RAMIRA was still owned by the Romanian government. Due to the unsuccessful management and due to the decreasing economies of the ex-socialist countries in the Central and Eastern Europe, the company slowed down its activities and in 1997 it has been proposed for closing by the government.

As of 2000, the company had less than 50 employees, compared to more than 2000 in 1990 and it accumulated huge debts. In 2000, RAMIRA was acquired by a private local company (Izoterom). At the beginning, the company had the newest technologies available in the late 70's. During the 90's, no major investments have been made and it started to lose market and profit.

The investments made since 2000 led to better working conditions and improvement in products quality. New numerical controlled machine tools and three-dimensional measuring machines have been installed and the computer system has been improved.

The new owner started a comprehensive investments program and turned to profit in 2006. In 2007 it had almost 400 employees.

Highly trained personnel and the continuous concern for quality are the defining features of RAMIRA way towards the future.

The company started a comprehensive program for ISO 9001 and obtained the certification in January 2009.
